A pleasure of bathing in the blue and turquoise lagoon surrounded by coral reefs around the island.
The Bay of Tamarin is a wide sandy beach with rolling waves all year round. It is famous as one of the hot spots for wave surfer around the world in the Mauritian winter.
Directly behind the bay start the coral reef, witch is around the island. Here you can find a long sandy beach along private houses. In some places along this beach you can find very nice spots for snorkelling.
The little village is close to Tamarin. Here is a little beautiful public-beach with a view on le Morne. This beach is quiet desert and sometime you can enjoy being there alone.
Flic en Flac
8 kilometer away from Tamarin is the small village Flic en Flac. Here you'll find a long sandy beach with a beautiful blue lagoon for swimming and snorkelling. In Flic en Flac you'll find also touristic life. This beach is quite popular among tourists and local people.
The world heritage Le Morne Brabant is ca. 13 km from Tamarin. There you'll find one of the most beautiful sandy beaches of the island. The peninsula is lined with fantastic beaches and turquoise blue lagoons with a selection of the best hotels of the island. Here is one of the world best hot spots for kite surfing.

Along the road after Le Morne you'll past the village Le Morne. This is authentic Mauritius. Along the coast-road you have a fantastic view over the Indian Ocean. This is one of the beautiful places in Mauritius, with a lot of nice beaches along this road.
After Mahebourg along the coast you will find the village Trou d'Eau Douce, where you can charter a boat to go to the island Ile aux Cerfs. This is one of the most visited islands.
Along this coast road you will find a lot of beautiful, long sandy beaches and top luxury hotels.
Between Cap Malheureux and Grand Baie there is a succession of lovely small bays with fantastic views over the sea and the Coin de Mire. Behind Grand Baie starts the long sandy beaches of Mont Choisy and Trou aux Biches.The north is by far the most touristic place of Mauritius.
